Posted in Articles on 12/29/2008 03:30 pm by admin

THE SAFE APPROACH, NATURALLY.

Treat the whole person.
Remove the cause.
Use SAFE natural methods.
No drugs or invasive techniques.

What we will cover:
Family history
Sleep and rest
Water
Oestrogen dominance
Positive outlook
What to avoid
NUTRITION and DIET
A TOXIN FREE BODY.
DID YOU KNOW?
Illness and disease are escalating at an alarming rate…arthritis, asthma, fibromyalgia, ME, CFS, osteoporosis, depression, migraine, obesity, allergies, Alzheimers, multiple chemical sensitivity…..
Cancer rates have increased. 1 in 3 women and 1 in 2 men will get cancer in their lifetime.
50% die from premature heart disease.
DID YOU KNOW?
18 cultures routinely live to over 100 in good health.
What are they doing that we are not?
How is their lifestyle and environment different?
FAMILY HISTORY
The escalation in illness and disease can’t be due to family history alone.
Our genes couldn’t have changed so much in such a short time. Environmental factors are more important and we have control over many of these.
SLEEP. REST. RELAXATION. EXERCISE
Let your body be the guide.
Gentle, stretching, aerobic, muscle strengthening.
Rest and relax………meditate, yoga, read
Maintain balance in your life
If something stresses you, change it!
Sleep in darkness.
Avoid before bed snacks.
WATER
6 to 8 glasses a day.
A glass of water when you get up, activates the intestinal tract establishes normal elimination and prevents accumulation of toxins.
75% of us are chronically dehydrated.
Lack of water is the primary trigger of fatigue
WATER
A 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short term memory, trouble with basic maths, and difficulty focusing.
All the major systems of the body need water to function properly.
Water helps transport nutrients around the body.

OESTROGEN DOMINANCE
We are exposed to excessive oestrogen from food, water, petrol fumes, HRT, contraceptive pills, chemicals in everyday products, plastic bottles etc.
“Wild Yam and Chaste Tree cream”. Can help  PMT, bone thinning, hair thinning, headaches, bloating, hot flushes.
It maintains correct hormone balance.
POSITIVE OUTLOOK
9 out of 10 people with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome think they won’t recover.
Emotions affect our health. The subconscious can sabotage our conscious intentions.
Develop a positive, optimistic, cheerful, stress free attitude.
Have a desire to be well and a belief that you can be!

THINGS TO AVOID
Monosodium Glutamate.
Aspartame.
Saccharin.
Coffee, can depress the immune system and dehydrate.
Sugar.
Fizzy drinks…..
Pesticides.
HARMFUL CHEMICALS IN BATHROOM AND CLEANING PRODUCTS.
GOOD HEALTH RELIES ON GOOD NUTRITION AND A TOXIN FREE BODY.
NEWAYS

One company has risen to the challenge to provide healthy products that can help a wide variety of complaints.
Safe toxin free products.
Highly advanced nutritional supplements.

NUTRITION. WE ARE WHAT WE EAT.
Dr Linus Pauling said…..”Every illness and disease can be traced to a mineral deficiency”.

WITHOUT MINERALS,  VITAMINS CANNOT BE ABSORBED.
WE NO LONGER GET THE NUTRITION WE NEED FROM OUR FOOD.

Mineral values in the soil are declining.
Intensive farming and modern storage methods.
We need over 60 minerals every day.
As we age we are less able to absorb nutrients.
ESSENTIAL NUTRIENTS
A good mineral solution, with vitamins, amino acids, enzymes and antioxidants to supplement our diet.
Even more important if you are unwell.
Nutrients need to be taken together.
Minerals must be plant derived.
Must be in a form the body can use.
Must be free from toxins and contaminants.

Free radicals are damaged and unstable molecules which attack other cells.
We manufacture fewer antioxidants as we get older and our food no longer contains sufficient  antioxidants.
THE IMPORTANCE OF ANTIOXIDANTS
One single antioxidant is not capable of fighting all the different groups to which we are exposed.
We need a comprehensive blend of  antioxidants to combat over 1100 different families of free radicals and boost the body’s defences.

PROBABLY THE WORLDS NUMBER ONE ANTIOXIDANT
A broad spectrum antioxidant combination voted the number 1 in the world.

It is now the 29th can you believe time passed so quickly?

Posted in General on 12/29/2008 03:16 pm by admin

Well I did really well up until Christmas evening that is. I very sensibly had plenty of turkey and vegetables so that I was full and did not want Christmas pudding then what did I do? drank champagne! as ever I looovvveee champagne it would do me no harm either. However, once I’ve drunk it all thoughts of being sensible go out the window. I really enjoyed the cheese and biscuits, red wine and chocolates. Since then I’ve been a “woman on a mission” to try as much forbidden food as possible and generally ruin my 10 weeks of sensible, healthy eating before Christmas.
Still if I didn’t over indulge then I suppose I wouldn’t understand all those people coming to me for a clean and fresh start to the new year.
So what am I going to do to start 2009 with a bang?

Well, first of all I shall be having 4 Probiotic tablets a day to refurnish my gut with all the beneficial bacteria and gut flora it has been lacking this week, I shall also be taking 2 Revenol a day (powerful antioxidant) to fight free radical damage, 15ml of Maximol to give me all the vitamins, minerals and amino acids that I need and then hey ho I’ll be back to my normal vibrant self.

If you need any help with your new years resolutions then just give me a call on my freephone 0800 090 1762, I’ll be happy to sort out the best way forward for you.

It was Christmas Eve and all was Quiet

Posted in General on 12/24/2008 12:01 pm by admin

Of course,  it’s never quiet on Christmas Eve there are hundreds of last minute jobs! so far this morning I’ve weighed myself! this is so that I can engage in “damage limitation” over the next few days. Let’s face it you can eat as much as you like of the turkey, sprouts, carrots in fact as much fruit, veg and white meat as you can. So why oh why do I have to indulge in Christmas pudding with brandy sauce and double cream? I know that when I’ve eaten it I will be carrying around a guilty feeling and 2 extra pounds I don’t need.

I am really hoping that writing this in my blog is going to make me think twice before over indulging as I’ll have to tell the world of my inability to keep on the straight and narrow!

The house is ready, the Christmas CD is playing the cinnamon candles are lit! we await the arrival of children and grandchildren, now shall I just have that glass of red? no I’ll wait til later.

If anyone else is out there ready for the festivities with 5 minutes to spare perhaps you’d like to add your comments and any tips on staying slim over the Christmas period or is it really an impossibility?
